A set of haiku on the Environment

Men and dogs dream
cars and rabbits. Cats dream
and the world turns.

White cloud towers:
built on black foundations.
But they won’t last.

The river is
even wetter, and gray
in a spring rain

Old row houses:
deferred maintenance. The
stonework survives.

Fountain water falls.
Sunrise catches it, and makes
bright, sparkling music.

The mist slips
through the trees. Sunrise
hunts it down.
